One Marshall County is pleased to announce the hiring of its first staff member, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s growth and continued development.
The addition of staff is an important step in implementing One Marshall County’s strategic plan and strengthening the organization’s capacity to support community leaders, organizations, and initiatives throughout Marshall County. This position will provide dedicated capacity for communications, community engagement, and organizational development. Additionally, the position will be providing communications support to three key community partners: Heartland Arts, Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, and the Lifelong Learning Network.
Please welcome Taylor Wilson as One Marshall County’s Communications and Community Coordinator.
Meet Taylor
Taylor joined One Marshall County in June 2026 and brings seven years of experience in local government, including four years focused on communications, marketing, and public engagement. Taylor earned a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from Ball State University in 2019.
Taylor is passionate about serving others and strengthening connections within the community. She believes effective communication begins with listening, and hopes to utilize her skills in storytelling, barrier identification, and content strategy to highlight the work of Marshall County’s dedicated community leaders. Taylor is keen on keeping a strategic outlook and streamlining projects to increase capacity for everyone.
Prior to joining One Marshall County, Taylor served as the Education and Outreach Coordinator for a Soil and Water Conservation District, where she developed educational programs and outreach initiatives to promote environmental stewardship. Her experience working alongside local government and service organizations has given her a strong appreciation for collaborative leadership and the role that thoughtful communication plays in advancing shared goals.
