Empowering strategic community and economic development initiatives

Submit READI Arts Projects to MCCF by March 31, 2026

The READI Arts & Culture Initiative is a $65 million statewide investment supporting arts- and culture-driven projects across Indiana’s READI 2.0 regions. The program is administered by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) in partnership with the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC), and made possible through generous support from the Lilly Endowment Inc. It was developed in consultation with Public Sphere Projects. The READI 2.0 Arts & Culture Initiative advances projects that strengthen regional identity, quality of life, creative workforce development, and long-term community vitality.

Funding supports implementation of projects identified in each region’s adopted arts and culture plan. Eligible projects span a wide range of activities, including but not limited to: public art and placemaking, cultural facilities and creative campuses, festivals and public programs, arts education and lifelong learning, creative workforce development, digital and hybrid arts innovation, cultural tourism and regional storytelling, and feasibility studies and adaptive reuse.

The program’s application deadline is April 15, 2026 (5:00 PM ET). All required questions and uploads must be submitted by this deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Award notifications will be issued July 1, 2026 and the grant period will last from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028.

One Marshall County encourages all projects to submit through the Marshall County Community Foundation’s (MCCF) grants management portal by March 31, 2026 for consideration of support by MCCF and/or consideration to be part of the OneMC collaboration of projects. MCCF has set aside up to $330,000 in match funds for organizations located in or serving Marshall County communities. The preliminary application helps us:

  • Identify organizations eligible for MCCF match funding

  • Provide the Grants Committee with information to strategically allocate match funds

  • Explore the potential for a regional consortium application (Elkhart, Marshall, St. Joseph Counties) with sufficient scope and scale for state consideration. One Marshall County will support coordinating eligible projects into a collaborative proposal.

Please note:MCCF match awards will be announced by April 8 to allow time for inclusion in your final state R2RAC submission.

Important: The MCCF application is not a formal READI 2.0 submission. It is intended to help you prepare for Indiana’s READI 2.0 Arts & Culture application (R2RAC). All organizations (unless part of the One Marshall County collaborative grant) must submit their final application directly to IAC. MCCF will not submit on your behalf.
